147. A Variety of Candle Making Molds

One of the most beautiful decors a home is candle. Candle making has always been popular, as candles have graduated from the romantic dinner table to nearly every room at home. There is something magical about the candle and it is something that each home should have. However candles have become quite costly, and the fact that candle making is an enjoyable and relaxed experience; many people are becoming involved in candle making.

Candle making custom molds are one of the best techniques used to get a variety of candles. While there are many different shapes and sizes, most material molds like plastic molds, rubber molds and metal molds.

Metal custom molds are best used when working with high temperature wax. Metal mold have a long life span and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. These are probably the easiest of the molds to clean. To clean the mold, simply set your oven temperature to the warm setting and lay a folded paper towel on a cookie sheet. Place the molds upside down on the cookie sheet with the pins to the side and put them in the oven for about fifteen minutes.

Plastic molds are the cheapest of the molds but the lifespan is not nearly as long as the metal. These molds are excellent for beginners because of their cost. To clean the plastic molds, place them in the freezer for a few hours, this will harden the wax, making it easier to remove.

Rubber molds are flexible, easy to work with and last for hundreds of pouring. These custom molds are used to make novelty candles. To clean these molds, simply place the mold in the freezer for a few hours allowing the wax to harden. Once the mold has chilled, remove it from the freezer and loosen the wax with a toothpick.
