275. Vacuum Casting

Vacuum Casting is a fast and economical process used to create near production polyurethane components from silicone tools. Parts can be used for design verification, product testing, photography, packaging, toolmaking aids, and even as short run production components.

Plastic parts can be faithfully replicated in a wide range of casting resins, which will closely simulate production thermoplastics, rubbers, and waxes. Castings with good optical clarity, flame retardancy, high impact strength and high temperature resistance allow a fully functional, working unit within a few days!

Castings can also be insert moulded, overmoulded and accurately colour matched to Pantone, RAL or BS specification or to customer swatches. With quality part surfaces from gloss to various spark finishes you can have a plastic molds which is ultimately as close to a production component as possible - without cutting steel!
