195. Design Tips for Injection Molded Parts

Product design approaches design generally includes three major categories of factors. First, it is to strengthen certain parts of operational requirements. Combine weight reduction, elimination of production tooling and assembly before, to improve the structural integrity and lower cost. Secondly, to optimize cost and performance satisfactory plastic insert to a minimum, while the structural, functional, moldings and economic requirements. Third, the right resin. Manufacturers often choose a family of similar quality plastic application. Resins chose this path may be sufficient, but it is rarely optimal.

Many engineers can design and custom-make all types of plastic molds based off detailed customer’s sketches and concepts. The thickness of the sides at the bottom is generally half that of the adjacent wall, however, that the wall if the structural integrity is more important than appearance. Apart from the resin at prices working factor in the production tooling, maintenance, assembly and disassembly of tools to reduce the cost of loading and others.
