104. The different rapid prototyping technology

Rapid prototyping has already used in many different fields. By definition, rapid prototyping is the automatic construction of physical components using additive manufacturing technology. Some of the first techniques used for rapid prototyping emerged in the late 1980s and were primarily used to produce models and prototype parts. Today, rapid prototyping techniques are used for a much wider range of applications and are even used to manufacture production-quality parts in relatively small numbers.

In rapid prototyping rapid doesn’t always mean fast. It can mean a few hours or a few days, depending on the object being prototyped. Other rapid prototyping technologies involve laying liquid materials that are cured with different technologies. In lamination systems, thin layers are cut to shape and joined together. Some of the other more widely used rapid prototyping technologies in the market today are Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM), Stereo-lithography (STL), Electron Beam Melting (EBM), and Three Dimensional Printing (3DP).

Believe these rapid prototyping technologies will bring us a bigger change.
