187. What are the application of rapid prototyping?
Application of rapid prototyping in the following areas:1. New product development process of design verification and functional verification.
2. Manufacturability, testing and delivery for assembly inquiry, marketing, on the limited space of the complex system, such as automobiles, satellites, missile-manufacturing and assembling can be tested by RP methods and design, will greatly reduce the difficulty of the design and manufacture of such systems.
3. Single, small batch and special direct production of complex parts. Components for the polymer materials, high-strength engineering plastics can be used directly to rapid prototyping, to meet the requirements; for complex metal parts, casting or by direct metal rapid prototyping available. The application of aviation, aerospace and defense industry has special significance.
4. Rapid tooling.
