101. How to building a prototype?

Rapid prototyping are used by many companies. Now it becomes very popular in our life. Many people know using rapid prototyping is capable to reduce on 50 – 80% time frame for the production, to eliminate completely the lengthy and time-consuming step of prototypes by hand or machine tools.

Building a prototype is usually based on solid models from CAD-systems or models with closed surface contours. This model is divided into thin layers in cross section with a special program, and the thickness of each layer is equal to the resolution of the equipment on z-coordinate. Usually in the division it is given the allowance for machining. Construction of the detail is dined in layers until it does not receive a physical prototype.

Thus it can be seen, the rapid prototyping is very important for us. So we should know more things about it.
